An odd creature that relates on a familiar and personal level.  At times I wonder if this piece is a self-portrait.  I believe the feeling I conveyed was something light-hearted, yet strangely different, and at the same time comfortable.  His antlers represent an always present attention to the unknown and a connection to the spiritual elements found in nature.  His boots are like his body, still held together yet tired and resting.  His sandwich is pure enjoyment, a peace all the way down to his soul.

  3. Thanks Lucia. Yes, when I created it I put myself right there in the scene. I have always liked squirrels for some reason. Unlike me they operate at a fast nervous pace, so unknowingly I decided to slow him down a little.
